hybrid project

With my design, I was inspired by how waves look like. Though, in execution it proved to be difficult for the 3D printer to figure out how to print the waves. My partner's design is based off on shells.  This object will be used as a cup. Using my design as the base and my teammate's as the container. We were inspired by ripples of water which can fit into the theme. However, there are difficulties present whilst working with the hybrid. The base has no supports to hold down the cup. The 3D printer simulation has difficulties trying to figure out how to print it. We will have to figure out how to keep the original design and compromise to have a final design that can withstand the printing process.  Revamping the first sketch, we have made a compromise. Here, there is still semblance of the wave motif as the base but now there are supports holding the cup whilst it is printing.

An abstract object that used twist for the two foundations. An abundance of cylinders is present here. I got inspired by our coaster project and was just testing how much cylinders I can fit in. The command bend was used frequently here. An abstract object using twisted objects as foundations. This goes for a more geometric angle with tapered shapes inside the cube. I had an hourglass inspiration in making this object. I used taper and stretch  to make the middle part.  this one has a clam motif in mind when making this object. this is made out of cylinders, stretch and bend tool.
